A direct, practical website for a local taxi business.
Sólin Taxi was created for an independent taxi business in Reykjavík. The project needed to communicate airport transfer services, local rides, and private tours clearly to both tourists and local customers.
The website was built to be fast, mobile-friendly, easy to navigate, and simple for customers to contact the driver directly.
THE CHALLENGE
Build trust quickly and remove friction from booking.
Taxi customers often make decisions quickly, especially when arranging airport pickup or transport while travelling.
The site therefore needed to present the most important services, contact options, and booking information without forcing users through a complicated process.

WHAT I LEARNED
Practical products need restraint as much as features.
This project reinforced the value of designing around the real decisions customers need to make: understanding the service, trusting the business, and contacting the driver quickly.
It also strengthened my experience with deployment, domain configuration, email delivery, responsive testing, SEO, and supporting a non-technical business owner.
